Chocolate Strawberries

Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a must on Valentine's Day!! These delicious goodies have sorta become a tradition for me, and I love them!! If you go to a bakery and buy these they get pretty pricey and are so easy and inexpensive to make, why not make them yourself?! My boyfriend absolutely loves these things so i made these for him since today is Valentine's Day!!

In case you want to make these for your special someone too, i am sharing how i make them with you!

SUPPLIES:
- strawberries (rinsed and dried)
- coffee mug
- white chocolate chips
- milk chocolate chips
- parchment or wax paper
- plastic baggie and scissors

DIRECTIONS:

1. Rinse and dry your strawberries. If the strawberries are wet the chocolate won't stick to the strawberry.

2. Line a baking sheet or pan with parchment/wax paper. Make sure the pan is big enough for all your strawberries.

3. Put about 2/3 cup of chips in coffee mug and microwave for 30 secs. if not all the way melted put in for another 20 seconds or until melted.

* YOUR CHOCOLATE SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS

4. Grab strawberries by the stem and dip in chocolate until covered....place on parchment paper. Do this process for all strawberries.

* I DID HALF MY STRAWBERRIES MILK CHOCOLATE AND HALF WHITE CHOCOLATE!

5. Melt your white chocolate the same way as you did the milk chocolate and let cool for about 2 min.

6. Using your plastic bag place in a coffee mug or cup and wrap edges around the side. Once your white chocolate has cooled for 2 min pour it in your plastic bag. If your chocolate is too hot it will burn the plastic. (I LEARNED THE HARD WAY)

7. Take your bag out of the mug or cup and make sure chocolate is all to one side and twist your bag like this.....

8. Cut off a little piece of the plastic bag and drizzle over your milk chocolate strawberries.

*IF YOU WANT A VARIETY OF DIFFERENT STRAWBERRIES LIKE THE ONES I DID ABOVE I HAVE TWO DIFFERENT TRICKS TO MAkE YOUR STRAWBERRIES FUN!

You can make your strawberries half milk chocolate and half white chocolate.

OR maybe add some diced pecans to your strawberries.

YUMMY!!

9. Once all your strawberries are decorated and placed on parchment paper let them cool in refridgerator until chocolate is hard.

These strawberries are so easy and cost about $10 in supplies for 15 strawberries! YOU CAN'T BEAT THAT! Your special someone will eat these up in no time!
